Quantum transport of topological spin solitons in a one-dimensional organic ferroelectric

چکیده

We report the dielectric, magnetic, and ultrasonic properties of a one-dimensional organic salt TTF-QBr$_3$I. These indicate that TTF-QBr$_3$I shows ferroelectric spin-Peierls (FSP) state in quantum critical regime. In FSP state, coupling charge, spin, lattice leads to emergent excitation spin solitons as topological defects. Amazingly, are highly mobile even at low temperatures, although they normally stationary because pinning. Our results suggest strong fluctuations enhanced near point enable soliton motion governed by athermal relaxation. This indicates realization transport ambient pressure.

One-dimensional Quantum Spin Liquids

This chapter is intended as a brief overview of some of the quantum spin liquid phases with unbroken SU(2) spin symmetry available in one dimension. The main characteristics of these phases are discussed by means of the bosonization approach. A special emphasis is laid on the interplay between frustration and quantum fluctuations in one dimension.

One-dimensional edge state transport in a topological Kondo insulator

Topological insulators, withmetallic boundarystatesprotected against time-reversal-invariant perturbations1, are apromising avenue for realizing exotic quantum states of matter, including various excitations of collective modes predicted in particle physics, such as Majorana fermions2 and axions3. According to theoretical predictions4, a topological insulating state can emerge from not only a we...

Quantum criticality in a uniaxial organic ferroelectric.

Tris-sarcosine calcium chloride (TSCC) is a highly uniaxial ferroelectric with a Curie temperature of approximately 130 K. By suppressing ferroelectricity with bromine substitution on the chlorine sites, pure single crystals were tuned through a ferroelectric quantum phase transition. The resulting quantum critical regime was investigated in detail and was found to persist up to temperatures of...

Transport in One Dimensional Quantum Systems

In this Chapter, we present recent theoretical developments on the finite temperature transport of one dimensional electronic and magnetic quantum systems as described by a variety of prototype models. In particular, we discuss the unconventional transport and dynamic spin, electrical, thermal properties implied by the integrability of models as the spin-1/2 Heisenberg chain or Hubbard. Further...

Phase coherent quantum mechanical spin transport in a weakly disordered quasi one-dimensional channel

A transfer matrix technique is used to model phase coherent spin transport in the weakly disordered quasi one-dimensional channel of a gate-controlled electron spin interferometer [Datta and Das, Appl. Phys. Lett., 56, 665 (1990)]. It includes the effects of an axial magnetic field in the channel of the interferometer (caused by the ferromagnetic contacts), a Rashba spin-orbit interaction, and ...
